Meet the founderBrahim Jounh — Moroccan-Born, Vancouver-Based
Brahim was born in Agoudal, a Berber village high in Morocco's High Atlas, grew up on the mountain roads and passes of the Imilchil region, and moved to Vancouver more than two decades ago. He founded Gateway2Morocco Travel in 1999 to solve a problem he kept hearing from North American friends: "I want to visit Morocco — but I want someone I can actually trust to plan it."
The answer was a hybrid model: a fully licensed Canadian travel agency with consumer protections you'd expect from any local operator, paired with a team of Moroccan natives on the ground who know every imperial city, every Atlas pass, and every desert camp personally.

From a one-person operation to a Canadian-licensed agency with thousands of travelers hosted, here is how Gateway2Morocco grew. In 1999, Brahim Jounh founded Gateway2Morocco Travel to design private Morocco tours for North American travelers, blending Canadian standards with Moroccan local knowledge. By 2005, a full-time ground operations centre was established in Marrakech with in-house drivers, a vetted guide network, and 24/7 client support for travelers in-country.
In 2012, the company became a fully licensed travel agency under British Columbia Consumer Protection (BPCPA License #80460), providing legal deposit bonding and professional accountability.
