Private Morocco travel

Based in Burnaby, BC, Gateway2Morocco is your local, BPCPA-licensed specialist for private Morocco tours. We offer eight tailor-made itineraries ranging from 8 to 14 days, priced in Canadian dollars and routed for travellers departing YVR — with in-person consultations available across Metro Vancouver by appointment.

Your local specialistThe Vancouver Advantage — Local, Licensed, Accountable

You don't have to fly to Toronto or book through an agency in another province for a properly-licensed Canadian Morocco tour — Gateway2Morocco is headquartered right here in Metro Vancouver. We've been a BPCPA-licensed agency since the start, ACTA-accredited, with Morocco-only specialty experience. CAD pricing, Pacific-time-zone support, and in-person consultations available by appointment if you'd like to meet face-to-face before booking. Eight private itineraries below, all built around YVR-departure pacing.

Because we're physically based in Burnaby, you're protected by the BC Travel Assurance Fund (BPCPA #80460) when you book with us. Your deposit and prepayments are insured under British Columbia consumer law. We're also ACTA-accredited and a member of Consumer Protection BC's licensed travel-agent registry. No middlemen, no offshore booking platform — Canadian-side contract, Moroccan-side delivery on every tailor-made Morocco tour we build.

Getting thereFlying from Vancouver (YVR) to Morocco

YVR has no nonstop service to Morocco — your fastest path is one-stop via Europe or transcontinental via Montréal. Total travel time is typically 17–20 hours including layover.

  • Via London (LHR): Air Canada or British Airways YVR → LHR, then BA to Casablanca/Marrakech — around 17 hours total, best business-class option
  • Via Frankfurt (FRA): Lufthansa direct YVR → FRA, then Lufthansa or Royal Air Maroc to Casablanca — approximately 18 hours total
  • Via Amsterdam (AMS): KLM YVR → AMS, then KLM AMS → Casablanca — approximately 18 hours total
  • Via Paris (CDG): Air France or Air Canada to CDG, then Air France / Royal Air Maroc to Casablanca — approximately 18 hours total
  • Via Montréal (YUL): Air Canada YVR → YUL, then Royal Air Maroc YUL → CMN nonstop — approximately 17 hours total, avoids European customs

We pace Day 1 around your evening-arrival reality — most westbound legs land in Casablanca early morning Day 2 your time. First night in a Casablanca riad to recover before the actual touring starts.

Meet in personIn-Person Consultations in Metro Vancouver

Most clients are happy with phone, email, and video planning — but if you'd prefer to meet face-to-face before committing to an international booking, we offer in-person consultations in Metro Vancouver by appointment. Particularly common for older clients, multi-generational family bookings, or anyone planning a milestone trip (anniversary, retirement, etc.) who wants to look the planner in the eye before paying a deposit. Email us with "In-Person Vancouver Consultation" in the subject line and your preferred dates, and we'll come to you, or meet at a coffee shop in your neighborhood.

West-coast logisticsPacific-Time Logistics — YVR, BC, and the Time-Zone Reality

1

Vancouver International YVR

YVR's main international terminal handles all Europe-bound carriers. Arrive 3 hours before international departure. Canada Line SkyTrain from downtown (25 min) avoids the bridge traffic.

2

BC Travel Assurance

Booking with a BPCPA-licensed BC agency means your deposit and prepayment are protected by the BC Travel Assurance Fund — protection you do not get when booking direct with foreign suppliers or US-based wholesalers.

3

Time Zone — Pacific to Morocco

Morocco is 7 hours ahead of PT in winter, 8 in summer. Day 1 is paced as a slow arrival/recovery day. Jet lag from BC is real — we never schedule heavy guided touring on the day you land.

4

MSP Gap & Insurance

MSP provides essentially no coverage abroad. Recommended BC providers: Pacific Blue Cross, BCAA, Manulife CoverMe. Buy within 72 hours of paying your tour deposit to lock in stability clauses.

Good to knowFAQs

Where is Gateway2Morocco actually located?

8277 11th Ave #2, Burnaby, BC. We're a Vancouver-headquartered, BPCPA-licensed travel agency operating Morocco tours.

Can I meet with you in person before booking?

Yes — in-person consultations available in Metro Vancouver by appointment. Especially common for milestone trips, multi-generational family bookings, or larger groups. Email us with "In-Person Vancouver Consultation" in the subject line.

How long is the flight from Vancouver to Morocco?

Typically 17–20 hours total including one stop. The fastest routings are via London (BA), Frankfurt (Lufthansa), Amsterdam (KLM), or Paris (Air France). Via Montreal on Royal Air Maroc YUL nonstop is also competitive and avoids European customs.

Do BC residents have anything specific to know?

You're booking with a BC-licensed agency (BPCPA #80460), so your trip is protected by British Columbia's Travel Assurance Fund. MSP does not cover medical emergencies abroad — private travel insurance is strongly recommended. We can recommend BC-based providers such as Pacific Blue Cross and BCAA when you book.

What's the time difference between Vancouver and Morocco?

Morocco is 7 hours ahead of Pacific Time in winter and 8 hours ahead in summer. Morocco doesn't observe DST the same way Canada does, so the gap shifts by an hour at certain times of year. Day 1 is paced as a slow arrival/recovery day.

Can you accommodate west-coast preferences (vegan, gluten-free, organic riads)?

Yes. Vegetarian and vegan are easy to accommodate at every meal. Gluten-free is no problem. Organic and farm-to-table riads are an emerging category in Morocco — we can arrange these specifically, especially around Marrakech and the Atlas.
